Description

What is it?

This will be a fun day in order to take photographs for the new region website and hope that you and your girls would like to be involved.

Whilst we will offer girls at least one full activity on the day we must emphasise that the main purpose of the day is a photo shoot for the region's new website. The outdoor activity may include (we cannot guarantee any particular activity): abseiling, aerial runway, archery, bouldering, bushcraft, climbing, compass course, crate stacking, grass sledges, initiatives tests, low ropes, monkey climbing, nature crafts, nightline, obstacle course, orienteering, pioneering, pond dipping, shelter building or wildlife watch. You will receive a programme for the day upon arrival.

The day will start at 10.30am with registration from 10.00am. We estimate finishing activities about 5pm, after which we will hold a campfire to allow us to finish with marshmallows and singing with the event closing at 6.30pm. Younger members are welcome to leave after 5pm.

As the media content taken from the day may be used on several different platforms we are asking for an additional photo consent form to be completed in addition to this form and other consent already given to Girlguiding. In order to download these forms please visit:

Who is it for?

It is for leaders and their girls. Both leaders and girl names must be given upon booking.

All sections are most welcome but girls must be accompanied by a Leader. Leaders are responsible for mantiaining Girlguiding ratios, consent forms, basic first aid and emergency contacts for their group.

What to wear:

All girls and leaders must be dressed in full and current uniform and must be happy to have their photograph taken. Please also wear suitable shoes; trainers would be ideal and bring a waterproof coat.

Other Info:

All participants will need to bring a packed lunch and full waterbottle with them.
